Biggest Art Show Of The Year Opens

The Alex Dufresne Gallery is thrilled to announce the opening reception of the Petit Noël Exhibit and Sale, taking place on Saturday, November 14, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. This festive annual event brings together a wide variety of pottery, artisanal crafts, and artworks created by talented local potters, artisans, and artists—perfect for anyone looking to get a head start on their holiday shopping.

The Petit Noël Exhibit and Sale offers a diverse selection of unique, handcrafted items, including ceramics, paintings, jewelry, textiles, and other one-of-a-kind creations. Visitors will have the opportunity to purchase beautiful, locally made gifts for their loved ones—all while supporting the incredible talent within our region.

This year’s show will feature almost 60 participating artists, potters, and artisans—making it the largest Petit Noel exhibition ever hosted. More than 100 paintings will fill the gallery’s walls, alongside a stunning range of pottery, sculpture, and mixed-media works, reflecting the remarkable creativity and skill found in our community.

The event provides a wonderful opportunity for early Christmas shopping and the gallery is excited to showcase the imagination and craftsmanship of our local artists, and to offer visitors something truly special for the holiday season.
In addition to the art on display, the opening reception will feature light refreshments, free museum admission, and the opportunity to meet the artists and enjoy a warm, festive atmosphere.

The Petit Noël Exhibit and Sale runs throughout the holiday season until December 16th, offering a perfect blend of art, community, and seasonal spirit.

The Alex Dufresne Gallery is located at 107 Lansdowne St. E. near downtown Callander in the same building as the Callander Museum.

Located in the former home of the famous "Country Doctor," Allan Dafoe, today this collection has expanded to include artifacts related to the Dionne Quintuplets, the shipping industry on Lake Nipissing, the sawmills around Callander Bay, and the general history of Callander. In 1994, an addition was added and named the Alex Dufresne Gallery in honour of our founder. The space hosts 5 different art exhibitions each year featuring local and area artists. We are open year-round and we hope you will stop by!
