The Canadian International Council (Nipissing District Branch) is pleased to announce our next guest speaker, Dr. Adam Chapnick. Dr. Chapnick is the deputy director of education at the Canadian Forces College and a professor of Defence Studies at the Royal Military College of Canada. He is the author or editor of eight books, including Canada on the UN Security Council: A Small Power on a Large Stage (UBC Press, 2019).
At this event Dr. Chapnick will discuss Canada’s eight previous attempts to serve on the Council and our six terms as a non-permanent member, in order to make light of the current bid for a seat in 2021-22.

Open to the General Public
Admission fee: $5 for students and seniors, $10 for CIC members, $12 for non-CIC members
Seating is limited.
